Today i came accoss this handy little guide to boost performance of a VM.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Disable the pre-logon screensaver:
    \nOpen Regedit
    \nHKEY_USERS\\.DEFAULT\\Control Panel\\Desktop
    \nChange the value of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153ScreenSaveActive\u00e2\u20ac\u009d to 0.<\/li>\n
  2. Disable updates of the last access time attribute for your NTFS filesystem, especially for i\/o intensive vm\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s this is a real boost:
    \nOpen CMD
    \nfsutil behavior set disablelastaccess 1<\/li>\n
  3. Disable all visual effects:
    \nProperties on your desktop
    \nAppearance -> Effects
    \nDisable all options.<\/li>\n
  4. Disable mouse pointer shadow:
    \nControl Panel -> Mouse
    \nClick on the tab \u00e2\u20ac\u0153pointers\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and switch \u00e2\u20ac\u0153enable pointer shadow\u00e2\u20ac\u009d off.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
